Default Tough fishing at Truman for camp.

We sort of had camp this weekend. With all the rain the lake came up about 10 feet this week. You could find water that had decent color but most of the area around camp looked like coffee with xtra creamer.
My goto when this happens is the old river channel below the dam at Warsaw. Well it didn’t disappoint. Had 18 with Dale on Friday and 23 with my daughter and her roommates today. All rigging in 25 to 28 FOW down about 15 feet. Had the usual problem with shorts, gar and white bass but the girls had a blast. Here is one fish picture. I’ll send more when the girls send them to me.

Good time not many attended for sure. Fishing was real tough to say the least. I think we put in at 3 different ramps and looked at Tally Bend (could have floated on a log and fished there!) We ran North from Bucksaw, South through the cut, only clean water was Long Shoal and down, water temp was low 60's and below 65 near everywhere. We left a day early. Nice seeing all who attended.

Some of my massive catches and nice camp ambiance photos, Joedog wouldn't even pose for a pic of any of his 5 inch crappie! We did catch more shorts this trip than our entire Truman fishing career.
