Thread: Proud Dad

My son and his crew have been coming to my cabin for years for deer and turkey seasons. I finally have trained them up on deer where they were whacking so many didn't need me to add several to their totals. Turkey nit so much.

But I have had to be the crappie slayer as they love to eat them but didn't follow my advice on how to.

This weekend I had just been and couldn't go with them but my son had actually paid attention and had really upped his game and ketch. They called me and I coached them on where and at what depths and danged if KABOOM HAPPENED for them!

my son caught his first limit Saturday and after they had dinner I told them how great evenings were and they immediately headed to lake to finish a quick 10!

Next morning in between storms they called and asked if they would bite in rough wind rain conditions I told them heck yes. They headed to lake and KABOOM happened again and they caught 20 in short time before they had to go.

Love it that I have been able to pass on what I know and they have figured it out.

Unfortunately, that is a genetic trait he doesn't seem to possess.
