Default LOZ Update 05/03/02018...and thanks rippinlips..hogster1

Fished around the 3mm trolling cranks and limited out in about two hours with no real big fish but decent eaters. Fished 30 to 60 fow in no man's land in the middle of creeks. Checked on the bass and the top water action is heating up. I caught about ten small fish and had a few big strikes on a frog with a lot of fish just slapping at it. Doesn't seem like they are that aggressive yet. A couple of fish literally came up, ate half the frog, moved it away, and spit it out. I was in the back of one cove and saw a big fin sticking out of the water...thought it was a buffalo...nope big ol bass dancing with her partner. Sorry my phone died no pics. I launched at the city Lake Ozark ramp for the first time with no problems and it was a lot closer to where I wanted to fish. And yes I got the date wrong I know what year it is I think

How far back in the coves are you going? Are you seeing lots of shad?

There will be days when the fishing is better than one's most optimistic forecast, others when it is far worse. Either is a gain over just staying home.

Ya know several of us LOZ guys should have a show up and fish date. Got a bunch of crankbaits ready for the water.

Anywhere from the mouth to the middle of big creeks. I have not trolled in anything less than 25 feet. Last time I went a lot of the fish on the graph were holding 20 to 30 feet deep so I threw on a 5 XD and picked off some deeper fish. I am seeing some pretty good size shad balls...
