Mozingo Report
Thursday evening was great - four of us all had limits (which is 30 each there) between 4pm and dark. Near banks but not necessarily right up on them, mostly casting and retrieving 1/6 oz chartreuse head with Kalin's Acid Rain body. Early Friday am rain, wind and cold rolled in big time up there. My son and I managed 40 more Friday morning - but then the fishing slowed down and the rain hung on so by 2pm or so decided we had had enough and broke camp and came home a day earlier than we had planned.
And before he jumps on and says it, yes, catfish merle outfished me pretty badly on Thursday evening. Friday was pretty even.

To add to the report, the fish seemed to be in 4 to 8 foot of water, not on the banks, but near the channel ledges. The best was near vegetation and around submerged stumps. It was a wonder we did as well as we did on Friday...rain, falling temps, driving wind. Once the fish realized what was going on, the bite stopped. Then, so did we.

Thanks for the report, glad you were able to catch some fish before the weather got bad. I went out on yesterday evening and most fish were still near the channel edges, middle of the coves.
