Got 17 Thursday, wind was 10 + on the river. Caught most in 12 fow out from structure. Good day other than fighting wind and wet rear end.Name: IMG_0465.jpg

I've got a friend that has a cabin at Cook's Bend on the Tombigbee River. We go up there every year to catch catfish but he has been wanting me to bring my boat and take him crappie fishing. I have never fished the Tombigbee River and told him we would probably be wasting our time being I know nothing about the River. Do you fish ledges off the main river channel or go up into lakes off the main river?

I prefer to fish main channel this time of year. I look for ledges with structure. Have been finding them in 14 -20 fow, fish hanging out 12 - 15 fow depending on ledge.
