Rich, looking to head over to Muskegon next week Thursday, weather permitting. Where is the best place to launch and where are the sand docks? Any news on how the perch fishing has been?
Because of network security, that one doesn't work. And all of these printers are in 34 different physical addresses, on 34 different networks.
It was a DOS script I used to poll all the addresses. Then I had to show all the young ones what DOS is to save them some time.

Snug Harbor docks are in, and Sand Docks are a short drive right across from there........

I've been holding off due to the cold weather. Should have a report from a friend today.
Snug harbor is a state launch. You can get minnows, wigglers, and rigs at the bait shop outside the park. Sand docks are located on the South side of the channel entrance to Lake Michigan

There is one dock in at this time. If you need an address for GPS, use this.
3470 Memorial Dr, Muskegon, MI 49445
That is the address for Snug Harbor Outfitters. Once you are there the DNR Launch is about 1/2 mile past SHO (West) on the left side of the road.
I circled both in the map. The straight line is the "Sand Docks", its also a good location out of the crowd for Salmon Jigging.

I have tried them all, but Snug Harbor is the only DNR Launch. Any place else, Fisherman Landing, Cottage Grove, etc, are all Fee based. Either by the day, or yearly pass.
I looked into it once, and by the time, I either bought the pass, to drove to Snug Harbor, it was a draw. So I just use Snug Harbor now, and it has Fish cleaning facility's, and SHADE. <- Its Ginger Friendly......
Let me see if I can find my other posts on it in a different forum.

Question:
A DNR launch like snug harbor.....does my State Park license tab, give me free passage or is that for Parks only?

Steve, it covers most launches. There are some popular launches that also charge a daily fee. West Higgins Lake used to be one of those but I'm not sure if it still is.
I was looking for some actual docks where they load sand. Found a couple that looked "sandy" on the south shore. Now I know. Looks like a place to avoid when the wind is blowing from the east.
