Default Last Trip for the Season.

Got the boat at the dealers getting shrink wrapped. The weather has turned on us. Steady rain for two day's and a 51 degree temperature. Sandy & I made our last run at the Perch on Fri. 20th. We went to Van Etten Lk. and caught more than we could could keep count of. We kept fish 8" and above. Used slip bobbers and minnows, fishing in 2'-12' of water. We came home with a nice mess, a couple 11". Was a great day. And of course the "Fishi'n dog stayed after them in the live well"

Nice catch you two! I think everybody in MI is feeling like ducks lately. Been thinking about building an ark.

Nice mess of Perch Larry and Sandy!

It's a rainy gloomy cold day down here, just gonna get colder.

Ice fishing isn't far away......if we get ice that is. Supposed to be a cold winter.....stay warm you guys!

Well done, Larry & Sandy. Good eating there. I hear ya' about the rain, I've got a simple gauge..glass tube in the garden..checked it this morning, 4.5 inches. Supposed to get some more later today. Don't need anymore! 37 degrees ,too. Stay warm and dry. P.S. I quit ice fishing 9years ago. ...bill...

His tongue looks okay so it appears he didn't get spiked by any!

I got a lot of fishing left to do. I suspect a big November warm up like the last couple years which would mean plenty of trolling in December.

Jigging or trolling you ask. Trolling, 1000 times over and twice on Saturday

Just shy of 5" of rain. Got 44 here now with a little sun. Hope you guys get a Nov. warm up. Dock fishing down at Eagle Bay Marina should pick up mid Nov., sometimes the Perch really come in around deer season.

Nice Perch ,dog looks happy. Brother and I made our last trip yesterday. now he will winterize the ski boat and said he is going to try and unload it an get something we can fish out of! .. Half moon lake chain, only one caught an released a Blue Gill, but it was a fantastic day of fall colors, and water so clear you could see bottom to 10FT.depth .
I thought fish trembled when they heard my name.......then I heard the laughter

Ya, Dixie is about as nice a dog as I have ever had. She's a rescue pup that was from Alabama. We got her at 8 weeks old. She was the runt of the liter, now weighs 50lbs. She sticks her head under water in the live well and catches the fish and carries them around the pontoon, keeps us busy, usually shut the lid to keep her out.
