Default THE STAY AT "BEATS A TENT"

We had a great time at spartannation's cabin. It is just about as neat a place as you could ask for. Old fishing rods hanging on the walls, old bow's, gaff hook, Elk & Mule deer antlers. Cabin is all knotty pine. I took some pictures-but they are on the internal memory of my camera and I can't get them on the SD card? We caught more Bluegills than we could count in the 2 days of fishing. We did managed to bring home some keepers both days. The fridge was stocked with some nice treats. Chicken wings, chips, and some other snacks. We had the steaks Thurs night, and they were awesome. I can't begin to thank Jerry enough for a great 3 days. Still didn't get to meet him, but would like to at some point. I did get 2 pictures, one of Sandy with a 15" Bass and another of me cleaning fish.Name: 100_0774.jpg

Larry and Sandy, I'm glad you enjoyed your stay. I was hoping to stop in to meet you but being self employed sometimes has it's down side. My work schedule wouldn't allow me to get away and then Steve and Aiden kidnapped me Friday and took me fishing. I was a little concerned about how windy it got. and was hoping you didn't get blown off the lake. Sounds like you weathered the storm and were able to catch a few fish, too.
I can't pass up a new trinket to hang on the wall, even if I am running out of space. Some of the old rods and reels belonged to my Grandpa, the rest came from flea markets and garage sales. I've had friends and even some customers give me things for the wall, too. Every item gets a place of honor. My newest addition is coming up this weekend, a 1949 Neptune boat motor I found at a garage sale. Now where should I hung it?

Did you pickup a stray dog on the way to the cabin?

What an awesome prize package. Everyone wanted to win it but Larry and Sandy eyeballed it more than everyone else. Glad you had a good time.

Do not hang the motor on the wall, unless you make a simulated old wooden boat transom and about 1Ft.of hull out from the wall. Then you can set some of those old rods in the pocket or set some small lights to shine on the motor. I have to much time on my hands........
I thought fish trembled when they heard my name.......then I heard the laughter
