Not that much difference...probably about 3 maybe 4 mph.
Looking at new tracker 175 tf. Standard motor is 60 hp with 75 hp option. Everything being the same, approx how much difference in speed between 60 ans 75?

Enough, IMO. It will also improve resale
The 75 (Mercury) is over 100 lbs heavier and a lot bigger in size than the 60. Just some info ----> the 115 Mercury has the same size / block c.i. as the 75 so it's a 115 choked down to a 75 hp motor which is a lot of excess weight / per HP to carry around. Just an est guest about 8 mph difference. On aluminum boat like that would go with the 60 if it was me.

I have a 94 Tracker Pro V-17, rated for a 90 hp. I had a 40 hp on it when I bought in new. In late 2016 I decided to repower so I looked at both the 60 and 75 HP. Like Wag said the 75's are 100# heavier than the 60's and I doubt you'll get that much more speed all things considered. FWIW my 40 hp 2 stroke ran around 24 mph, the 60 4 stroke will run 34 mph. My buddy has the same boat as me with a 75 HP 2 stroke (which is lighter) and it will run a little more than 40 mph. This guy is a speed freak when driving his car or truck but in his boat he says it's scary at that speed so he only runs at 4500 rpm.
The bigger motor would get the Boat up on step better and faster , especially with a full live well
It would be nice if can get a Tracker package deal with a Yamaha ---- would do great with a 70 HP Yamaha on back. About same weight as a 60 HP Mercury.

I had a '04 PT175 with a 60 2 stroke, 30+ when trimmed out with me and gear.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
I have a pro Crappie 175 2005 model with a 50 2 cycle Mercury with me only in the boat it will run 37 mph
