    Default Trailer tires

Anyone know why trailer with proper inflation would have bald spots in rythemic patterns on both tires on outsides edges?

If they are Bias ply tires that is a normal characteristic of how they wear. If it was smooth wear all the way around it would men it is toed in or bent back in middle of axle. This wear is probably only on the 2 outside ribs of the tire. Take wheels off and get them re mounted the oppisite direction and reinstall. Get a lot more miles before having to replace. When replacing get radial trailer tires and they will wear smooth.

Cupping generally comes from out of balance tires. The fact that it's on the outer edge might point to improper alignment or too much arch in the axle.

What kind of boat and trailer?

Hello: I would have the alignment checked. Always have your trailer tires balanced. Good Luck. O - R

That makes sense. Now we have a new way to check our bearings. Thanks for posting that you figured out why this was happening.
