    Default TM problems with battery

Yesterday was my first trip after switching to a lithium battery. All was good for 20 minutes. Then the tm went rogue on me. It would not respond well to the remote. It would come on in small spurts, then shut off then come back on again. Is is just coincidence that I just changed to lithium? Maybe my wiring? Motorguide 55# 12v

    New battery in the remote?
    Check all connections.
Hook a light to the lithium battery and run it down to 50/40%. Let it sit 6 to 12 hours before recharging.
Remove prop and check for fishing line.

You could hook it up to another type battery, but it sounds like a connection issue. I had the same problem with my Terrova one time and it was a loose at the main terminal.

Had a battery with a weak cell. It made the Terrova do some wonky stuff for sure. Have not experienced anything with the 2 lithium batteries

According to Dakota lithium... my 100ah battery is too small.

I seriously doubt that’s the case. I run my 80# 24v Terrova on 1 100ah Impulse Lithium and have never had a problem other than the connection issue.

I ran the 55lb Terrova on 1 100ah battery. It replaced 2 group 27 batteries. I have trolled for a long time and not got it below 50%

That's interesting, Jack. Can you tell me the speed and amp draw with that situation?

Had that same issue. It was a loose ground wire at the battery
