    Default Quick trip

Got outon kylake today for awhile.Made a run and when I came off plane boat was acting funny.Motor wouldn't trim down, would only trim up.So I decided I was gonna fish and check it out later.Fish bite was awsome, had a limit in a couple hours. After catching my limit I messed with the boat but couldn't get motor to trum down.Lucky me it was still in the water enough for the water pump to work.So I put it in gear at a fast idle and put the trolling motor on 7 and could run 6mph.In 1-1.5 hours I was back at the truck heading home. When I got home I did some investigating and I have a bad trim relay, parts will be here tuesday to fix it.

Blue ... that happened to me once, too. Go ahead & replace both relays, and save the old good one (in the boat's toolbox) "just in case". Hope your replacement goes as smooth as mine did !!

Nice cooler of Slabs ya got there, bud !!

Probably not a bad idea to periodically replace those relays. I have had it happen to me as well.

The two times that I've had mechanical issues on the water, at least one fish was caught. It's a good thing that you looked at the upside and realized that you can still fish and got something out of the trip.

CP took the words out of my mouth. It happened to me also and I replaced them both too. Keeping the odd one in the boat may save someone else’s day. Fishawk had his up side go out and couldn’t trailer til we swapped em and trimmed it up some. Luckily, he didn’t live far. Glad you got it worked out and caught fish too.
