Default Dedicated Lithium battery for Hbirds

I replaced a 1st gen Helix 10 S/I with a GN 4 Helix 10 SI. The last 5 trips out the batteries have discharged enough the 25 hp outboard won’t turn over. One pull and it’s going but….

There are two Garmin units and livescope on a dedicated lithium battery without issue. I’m considering doing the same thing with the 2 Hbirds (Gen 4 Helix 9 & 10).

    Recommendations on Battery manufacturers?

The Amped Outdoors on the Garmin system has been flawless so far.

I know zip about them but I wouldn’t argue with success.

I wish that would have worked out. Tried turning the console unit off. Between the Gn4 Helix 10 and on the trolling motor it drained the battery enough the motor wouldn't crank over. I was hoping for a simple fix too.

I run 3 Helix 12`s Gen 3`s Mega Live and Mega 360 with a group 31 dual purpose still starts my Optimax, it is hard on it as at times it gets run down pretty low after a long day of fishing. I usually only get 3 years out of one so when this one dies I will be going to 135ah LifePO4 dual purpose.

I am guessing your battery is on the way out with what you are running for depth finders, you could go group 31 Dual Purpose and be just fine, you do charge starting battery after fishing right?

I run my Garmin 1243xsv and black box off a Amped Outdoors 32ah lithium . My birds are on my starting battery also. I run a deep cycle battery from Walmart to start and run pumps, lights,12'' and 10.5'' Humminbirds. Another Amped Outdoors lithium might work just for the birds. I use 3 Walmart deep cycle batteries for starting and 24 volt trolling motor. EverStart Maxx Marine Battery, Group Size 29DC 12 Volt, 845 CCA

What size and kind of battery are you using now? Even at 25hp, I don't think you can expect many deep cycle batteries to have the power to start the outboard after even a few hours of use, if using just a single 12 volt set-up.
