Mounting options for Hbird at console?

I am considering adding a Helx 9 or 10 at the console and network with a Helix 10 and Ultrex at the bow. I have a Garmin in the dash on a ranger RT 178C

There are mounting systems for dual units that attach to the console near the windshield. I would need to find a way to cover the hole in the dash where the Garmin is located now which would add to the expense of $500 plus mounting solution. They look like they would be really nice but I’m looking for something a little more economical.

Considering something that will mount on the carpet near between the gunnel and the console? I want to mount it where it’s close to the same eye level as the dash mount unit. I would like to avoid locating where it is crossing over or hanging over the outside of the boat.

The Ram mounts won’t give me enough height to place it where I want it.

Recommendations?
