    Default Took a friend fishing

Back in 2015, I flew to Japan during the crappie spawn to train for my current job, and the person who lead my training and gave me my certification exam is current in the US for 4 years. We kept in touch over the years, and we finally had a chance to go fishing all day on Tuesday.

I took him to Ross Barnett Reservoir for his first bass boat ride, and his first two fish caught in Mississippi (and it sounds like in the US as well) are the catfish and the 1.5 lb crappie. The wind was a little higher than I wanted, and it limited where I wanted to fish and total count. However, he had fun and wants to go again.

Y'all are close to the Condo's great place to catch Crappie this time of year. Those slopes were made for the Pendulum Pitch.

@jjue1979 Haa... I see you fishing by the Ole Pump House at the Spill Way in that Pic. Those are my Ole Stomping Grounds where I learned to fish. We had a house about 2 miles from there. Good Ole Ross Barnett. Great to see it get the recognition it deserves. The Good Ole Rezz... You ever get over to the "Oil Well Woods" part? That Fishery was producing 2lb Crappie since the 70's & 80's. Congrats on spending time with a friend & enjoying the Outdoors while doing so. Seeing the Rezz in a post touches my Ole Heart.
