I have just about all of the odd size jig heads from 1/48, 1/24, 3/32 and 3/16 and they come in both collared and none collared. It may because I have been collecting jig heads for over 20 years. I have some truly one of a kind jig heads.

I have a few 1/24 molds with and without collars and one takes a crane swivel for blade baits. I pour them mainly in small sizes down to a #10 sickle and have had some really good days using this size head with smaller hooks tying 1" baits, everything eats them. There are times when a tweener size jig like a 1/24 can be a huge plus in your catch for that day, but only if you use them.

If I can't get no-collar jigs in a particular size, I buy what's available and remove the collar. My wire grip invention holds lures in place just fine with zero damage to the soft plastic (like collars do) when changing lures.

P.S. The video I was talking of is by Kelly Mathews and called Do-it Crappie Jig Head Mod 1/32oz to 1/24oz.
Thanks for the tip. Seems simple enough to do, as soon as I get my hands on the supplies I’ll get one made up.
