Yeah, Tom ... I'm using a 12' rod & two 1/16oz jigs (usually 6-8" apart) most of the time. I "have" used a 1/8oz jig on bottom & 1/16oz jig above on occasion. I've been tempted to put a 1/32oz jig on top & 1/16oz jig on bottom, but haven't found fish shallow enough (<10ft deep) to try it. All my jigheads are ballhead & I've not had any problem seeing them out to 25' or more, as long as they're fairly centered in the scope's cone.
(For clarification : if fish are in <10fow, I'm usually casting a marabou Road Runner at them, unless they're tight to gnarly cover & then I'm casting a single jig on a weedless jighead.)

I didn’t say you couldn’t see small jigs clearly, my preference is to actually fish a single jig as light as I can get away with and still be efficient. The point is most people will be more successful getting a bait down on a single fish in the cone of LS with more weight. Also depends on the conditions and how deep you are fishing. It’s a totally different thing pitching baits in calm conditions in 6ft of water versus chasing fish 23ft down out in the middle of a big lake like KY or Barkley with choppy waves and current.

I was on the lake yesterday trying out my new winter duds and new depthfinders. On my AT 2 hair jigs showed up a lot brighter than plastics.
