    Default Sharpening hooks

Anyone out there ever sharpen number 2 crappie hooks, if so how, seems like when I put my file on it, it comes out more dull than when I started. Is there a brand of crappie hooks that are more sharper than the rest of them, what’s your favorite hook brand? Thanks in advance.

I haven't sharpened any in years. I liked a diamond hook sharpener when I did. I use braid so no line stretch

I have some Mr Crappie hooks in red and gold colors they seem to be plenty sharp . I like the cam action hooks as well. They seem to get them in the roof of the mouth more often then not

I agree with Ketchn that a stone works better than a file.

Tru-turn hooks are very sharp. Sharper than a mother in-laws tongue!

I use one of the mini paddle diamond sharpeners made by DMT. The red one . Fine . It works great on knives too.
