I use a ram mount for my helix 9 but I set in the seat most of the time. It does fairly well but I find myself bending over to get a closer view but then again my vision is far from perfect

You can build a double ram mount cheap. Under 40 dollars. I have a double in the can am, dew to all the bumps, jumps and rocks.
Order two 6 inch ram mounts with the round or flat tops and bottoms. you can get them used off ebay . Just ordered three used 15 to 17 dollars. Using them for my rod mounts on the boat I'm tricking out for crappie. Already had one.
All you have to do then is connect the backs to the plastic graph mount or a piece of starboard, then mount the graph holder you have less than 35 dollars in a double ram mount, its ain't going anywhere.

Here ya go. Used on e bay. Punch that number in the search field hit enter. Will take you to the auction. Has a make a offer , offer him 15 dollars its yours.

I use a Cumberland Crappie extendable mount for my Garmin 93sv unit, which sits about 12" high & can be extended up to over 20" high. Problem is, the maker of these got ill and had to stop making them (shortly after my purchase). The price at the time was $100 and I thought that was "high" until I looked around at the cost of other mfgr's products.
My Hook 7 is mounted on a short Ram Mount.

I don't know what "break the bank" means to you, but most mounting systems seem to start in the $200 range and go UP from there.

Hi Tek makes a solid mount. And he can make them any height. Call Scott. Depth Finder Mount - Hi-Tek Stuff. I use a 5”, 8” and 12” height to stack.
