Considering an X-13. Anybody got any experience with one? How do they compare to a Huckabee??

I can’t tell you how it compares to the Huckabee rods but I can tell you it’s a super nice rod. Super sensitive, easy to hold all day, plenty of strength to boat flip big crappie. I’ve been using one since they first came out, I liked it so much I also bought the X10.

I picked one up at Basspro the other day. Its a heck of a nice rod. Its lighter than my phantom 13 but doesn't have nearly the backbone of the P13. I guess it just depends on what you're after. Its costs about $20 more than my P13.

I went from Huckabee 10' Meat Draggers (which I loved) to an X13 for more length. (Huckabee was out of stock on their 13' at the time). X13 is a great rod. Boats 1.5# slabs with ease (my lake seldom produces bigger). Recently 2 Huckabee's and my X13 died in a fire. Jenkos' 3 yr no fault warranty is NICE!

I have the X15 and its my favorite among my other 13-16 footers. Its lighter, balanced well and pretty dang stiff for its size. Its a two piece rod, which I really like.

My favorites are the 10 and 13 footers made by Jenko. Kevin Rogers Signature Series. Although I like cork these are foam handles. Just a tad smaller in diameter than others. Just fits my hand better and never had trouble boat flipping any size fish.
Never owned Jenko X series. YET!!

    Les,
The rods are not like broomsticks and have a very fast tip. It loads up well on the hook set.
I set the hook hard when vertical fishing like Kevin Rogers does and the rod loaded with braid reacts as it should.
Confident it will swing in anything I catch around here. I haven’t netted a fish in a long time BUT I haven’t caught anything over 1.5 pound in a while either. Jenko X-13
