Don’t waste your time with the Irish Spring. Totally useless. All the mice do is eat it.

I tried it for winter storage of my motorcycle. The mice didn't care and set up camp anyway.

To set a trap without bigger animals of children getting to it. Put trap under an overturned milk crate. Works awesome to keep the chickens out of it.

I might suggest a ultrasound device.( Do a search for High frequency rodent control)
I used one in a mobile home and had no rodent problems. My neighbors all had problems at the same time.
Also peppermint oil is supposed to repel rodents .

Wolf or coyote pee works wonders on those vermin,,,just spray it around areas effected and hope the smell doesn’t enter your cabin because it stinks to all heck….

The mice got into the heater compartment on my wife's Subaru. After the Irish Spring they never came back and they sure didn't eat it.
