I installed my first livescope last July and spent the rest of last year learning how to utilize it. I spider rig a bunch. In Ohio we can only use 2 rods per person so it is a much reduced spider rigging. Livescope helps. With the narrow beam and my rod spacing I can only see one rod but I mounted it on a separate down rod from my trolling motor and can turn it very easily from my seat to look at other rods or docks, brushpiles, whatever. The largest advantages are depth positioning of your baits and watching how the crappie react to your baits. You can tell very quickly if they are going to hit or not. The last benefit and one I really wanted the livescope for is many crappie in some of our lakes suspend just 1-2 ft below the surface certain times of the year. You would never see those fish with traditional fishfinders. I know of more than one guy selling his 360's
I like it so much that I purchased a 2nd Livescope unit this spring and mounted it on the other side of the boat for my partner to use. So I have two livescopes that I use for spider rigging.
