I like Grainraiser found these baits on sale for $1 at Walmart and thought I would try them out on a stretch of rip rap. It was not spring and I did not catch any crappie but the saugeyes were eating them up if the bluegill didn't get to them first. Only problem was the saugeyes were bending the hooks a lot so I had to replace them with stronger ones but they are fish catchers.

Nice video! Instead of anchoring, did you consider drifting with the wind and letting it's speed troll your baits? You could still use the pull & stop retrieve, but you could cover a lot more water that way. Just a thought.

I push those small Arkies with good success. I replace the rear hook with a #6 Eagle Claw treble. I can't find that it alters the action at crappie trolling speeds and has drastically improved the number of fish that I bring into the boat versus coming unbuttoned next to the boat before I can net them.
