One of those " only happens to me days" . Congrats on passing with flying colors .
Cats do have a way of "getting into it!" Another reason why I always crimp down the barbs on ALL my hooks. There is no downside. Your catch ratio will not suffer. Been doing this for the past 10 years. Just a thought!

Ol kitty cat didn't look too happy. I have no idea why I get pleasure in seeing their ears layed back!
At least it was a good catch and release

I own 20 pairs of small side nipper pliers but where was only one when I needed them? Probably in my boat where most of them belong. Getting a pair of needle nose pliers in a cat's mouth was a trick that was definitely a 2 person job. It is amazing how long you can stretch their tongue!
I'm still puzzled how he broke 20 pound test leader line without ripping his tongue and lips off! He's great this morning.

He's sleeping next to Phoenix, my chocolate lab at the shop. I seriously doubt the cat/hook outcome would have been the same with Camo. He's way more than too big to be holding by the nap of the neck with pliers in his mouth. Camo has been around hooks, especially newly painted and rigged cranks for years and is yet to pay any attention to them.
