Default 80 LB Terrova trolling motor

I have an older terrova 24volt I believe it is a 2012 year
Can I put an ipilot with GPS on it ?
Or is it worth it ? I really just want the spot-lock also tracking.
    Thanks for any help

Does this actually help the terrova with spot lock? My terrova sucks with spot lock. But it's awesome everywhere else.

If you can get the new spot lock I would go for it. I have one that is about 5 years old and the spot lock is just ok the rest of it works great. I don't use the track or that stuff but I do use the spot lock. On the river it's great on the lake in the wind not so good.

You can buy the older model Ipilot head unit and control. Gives you everything you need including the older spot lock which is good but not great for holding on brush piles. Is it worth 400-700 added to that old a motor? If it was me I would opt to sell old motor and get what I could and by the newest version and get the new spot lock which is very accurate in my experience running 2 different ones. It is my understanding that as of right now you can't buy the new version as an add on. Even though it would work on yours if you could get it. Figure they don't want to sell it right now and knock out sales of new motors.

Cray is correct ... The new 2017 spotlock doesn't work with older model Terrova ...

We've heard rumors both ways if Minn Kota will ever make this happen ...

I heard you could swap out a few parts and get the new head to work on an old motor. I did that to my old power drive V1. Changed mother board and I was good to go. I think they caught wind of this and now you can buy all but the head unit and GPS puck so you can't upgrade it for the low low!

It can be done. The parts cost close to 700 to do it. I myself don't think its worth it.
