Years ago I bought a rain suit from Memphis Net & Twine or something like that, it's a commercial fishing supply, and it the best I ever had. It was a little heavy, but it was great. Someone else liked it too....they stole it out of my boat ...

Everyone is going to come up with a different brand but here is some good info for keeping Gore-Tex.....or other rain gear in good shape. Gore-Tex does not go bad......but the outer fabric on the membrane can and will lose the water repellency. I have used the items in the article with great success but there are others on market also.

I have Frogg Toggs, however I wish I would have gotten bib pants. Otherwise they work great.
I bought a pair of Gander Mountain Guide Wear bibs during their going out of business sale. I also bought a Columbia dual purpose jacket. Jacket has a fleece liner that zips out. The combo gives me great three season coverage. The Frogg Toggs got moved to a storage locker in the boat for those unexpected rains. The rain suit (Gander bibs and Columbia jacket) come out for days where rain is forecast for most of the day.

I were a wide brimmed hat to keep the rain off the back of my neck and off my glasses. As for my feet, if its warm enough (rubber sandals) cold (water proof hunting boots).

Probably Helly Henson, Pvc coated. Forestry Supply out of Mississippi sells them. I've had a pair for 15 years. Tough and 100
percent water proof. A lot of commercial fisherman use them.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

Another for Simms...worth every penny. And I purposely fish in the rain.

Thanks for everyones input. I have seen bps 100 suits leak twice. I'll just due more homework. I would rather spend extra money for something that will not leak. Since I'm on my 2nd set of rain gear.
