In the mid 70s- to mid 80s I worked on an oil drilling rig in Northern Michigan. I would get brine rash on my hands & arms , also split finger tips. Bag Balm in the green tin box worked Great! It is used mainly for treating cows utters.
Watch me - I can do it again

I've been using Super Glue on the splits/cracks in my fingers for probably 5 or 6 yrs. Works good and definitely stops the pain when I touch or bump something. Heals pretty quick too.

My wife bought a jar, but it seems everything feels greasy to me. After this winter I've had to force myself to use it - or the wife uses it and gets it rubbed into her hands then rubs the little bit on to my hands.

If you can stand it Vasoline works pretty good. I put it on my hands slide a pair of latex gloves over it and go to Sleep.

No, actually we were taught to wear gloves whenever possible. You know the government! I guess that's what helped me.

There is a foot product called heeltastic that works great. It comes in a roll-up stick about 1&1/2 inches across. I think we bought it at Bed Bath and Beyond.

I worked the 11-7 shift at the railroad for 28 years, 14 years outside. Every winter my hands would crack real bad. I would mix Neosporin and Vaseline, rub my hands down and sleep with latex gloves on. Walgreens carries a product called Healing Hands that we used along with the companies hand lotion. It helped a lot.
Lordy, tit balm, udder balm, it's Bag Balm. I've used it for a few years now. It's good for that over worked muscles and sore joints.
