A station wagon like that would make an awesome combo.

Well folks. I found out that I am the owner of a Crosby Sled boat. Here are some before photos for you. They pulled it into the work bay today to begin work on it.

What in the world were the 110 volt outlets for?, Never seen them on a boat unless it had a generator on it. Course I never saw one with the steering wheel turned sideways. I'd say you got a good deal and a head turner when you put it on the water. Always fun fixing one up to suit your needs. I am always doing something new to mine.
    Enjoy.

After reading your story I was thinking if you did not name it Legacy then "Destiny" would have been appropriate.

I actually thought about destiny but the character of the.boat just spoke volumes and "The Legacy" just kept coming to mind. I have never seen a boat with outlets on it before either. I will use them for a cd player. I also need to put an onboard charger on it.

Has anyone else on this forum had a Cross Sled boat? It looks like a classic to me.

How are you going to get 110v AC? Do you have a inverter or something on it ? Probably best just to get a 12 v dc cd player.....would be a lot less head ache.
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

That was my thought also.Unless there is an inverter installed to convert the 12 volt DC to 120 volt AC it may just be 12 volts DC. I would be sure and check with a voltmeter what was at the outlet before I plugged anything in to it.

All that is above my parade. That is why I took the boat to a marina to see what is going on. Worst case scenario....I go old school and use a battery operated cd player. Lol

They may have just used 12 DC. And use outlet and plugs as a quick disconnect device.
