I just bought a tracker 175 TF and love it. I'm not a tournament guy so the 60hp merc is plenty. But the live wells at each end w/minnow wells sooo handy. Lots of storage and places for seat placement. Wide and steady for alum. My wife loves it too - is that good???

I just purchased a 16ft SmokerCraft deep-v boat with a 50hp mercury. So far I have to say that I really like the boat but of course things could always be better. Compared to my bass boat this thing sips gas but of course I lost about 25mph on the speedometer, being aluminum it's much easier to tow, it's way more comfortable especially when out with my 6yr old, there's plenty of storage and room to move around, and to be honest it just rides better. On the downside, I find that the forepeak of the boat is not wide enough for the 2 new hi tek rod holders (I will only be abe to use one t-bar mounted straight across), Im really not sure about how this boat will perform when faced with skinny water, and also the minnkota powerdrive troller is troublesome for mounting a transducer. Oh yeah, access to all the important parts is very easy on the deep v with the exception of the gas tank which is under the floor.

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving in a pretty, well preserved body,
but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming "WOW what a ride".

I have a boat built for crappie fishing, but a Ranger bass boat is pretty hard to beat for all fishing styles. They ride smooth and dry also.

I have been looking at a boat called Tuffy. It is designed for Walleye fishing but would make an awesome crappie boat. I have never heard of this company. I would love to sale my 17' crappie master and get the 19' that is in their product line.
