Well it was fun but hard...we kept 5 good ones and through back that many....But i did see nest and big males guarding the yearlings...some has spawned no doubt...we scooped some up with cap and biologist was there studing varified the fish, and said they spawn from first of march through september...diff parts of lake at diff times..i would spook with boat in the shallow water, but did catch a couple off nest...i have never seen chicot as clear as it is now...hopefully the lake turns over soon and muddy up some...biologist said should be great year for them and the bass..i landed one 18 1/4 inches 3 years ago..and today i had one nearly in the net as big i think before he rolled off..i will be back to get him thursday if able..will post then...yall keep it tight...

Thanks for the update... sorry to hear you didn't fill the ice chest with them.
