Good report....I am thinking of heading down that way my next trip out....maybe south Verrett, bayou Sherman, etc....
Made a bass fishing trip with my neighbor yesterday and we wound up in Crackerhead. I caught 2 nice sac au lait on a spinnerbait. We talked to 2 guys who said they had 12 really nice sacs. They were fishing shiners about 2 feet under a cork. Most other people we talked to were struggling. The 2 I caught were in 3' of water. Water color ranged from coffee milk brown to tannic acid black - whatever you like is available. Planning to go back soon after the sacs only. Lots of people out on a Monday.

Thanks for the report. That place can get crowded quick.

My fishing days are over til summer due to work but Verret is one of my favorite lakes. I received a good report from this weekend from one of my fishing buddy's he said they were catching in the main canals in crackerhead a little bit deeper 3' to 4' deep. He said they didn't do much in the dead end canals this weekend. That being said it could change tomorrow. Hope this helps.
