    Default Saline/Larto GRRRR!

Been waiting all week for this trip to Saline to get there and discover my trolling battery is shot. I did get a report from the landing (Open Bayou) that they are catching enough fishing shallow to make it worth your while as of yesterday. I fished long enough to miss a fish on a Beetlespin with a BG bluegrass swimming minnow for the grub. He was right against a cypress in about a foot of water. Me and a buddy are going back tomorrow or Sunday. Will update.

How was the road going to Open Bayou? With all of the rain lately I bet it was a challenge .

Wasn’t bad. A couple of mud puddles, but it wasn’t slick at all.

Went back today. I’ll never go back without shiners. Couldn’t buy a bite on a jig, beetle spin or crank bait. Watched a couple across the bayou fishing against the trees just like us but with shiners. They were catching pretty good. Also there was a run of yo-yos on that side that we saw catch 3 in the span of 15 minutes.
