Option #3 Toledo Bend
Going to be taking the boat out this week after all this rain passes. Was wondering what the water looks like at Bistineau. Should I skip it and go to Caddo instead?
Not sure what this rain will do for Bistineau but the gates are open and it's almost 4 feet below spillway crest elevation.

As for Caddo, I was there yesterday doing a little bass fishing between the thunderstorms. Salvinia continues to be a concern for fishermen and it's going to be moved around with current and wind as usual. I've seen it worse but there's plenty of it on Caddo now. Lake O' the Pines spillway work is complete and they are currently releasing around 2000 CFS. This creates a fair amount of current in Big Cypress Bayou and associated bayous and sloughs on the Texas side before opening up into the big lake. The water was gin clear around Tuckers.
Don't go to Bistineau!!
