Also need to consider when the landing will open back up. I know the road going to the camps goes under around 32 ft so the parking lot at the landing probably goes under around 34-35. I usually don't bother fishing unless the stage is under 30.
Haven't been on here in a while and just saw this thread. I'm all for meeting up one Saturday. I think June 2nd is too soon based on the river forecast. June 9th is probably too soon also. River stage really needs to be no higher than 30 ft to make it worth fishing IMO. 26-28 ft would be ideal. 30 day forecast shows it hitting 28 ft on 6-17 but that could change 30 times before then.
30 day forecast

Friday or Saturday? I can't make it on a Friday 😑
Sorry Lsufan, we're doing it on a Friday because Saturdays are just too busy, especially when conditions are right....We'd love to have U join us, take a vacation day.

I definitely understand that. I might take one. Trying to make sure I have some left for hunting season. Hard to balance out vacation b/w 2 hobbies and a wife with family out of state lol.

Took a peek at da old river landing from top of da levee. The store is behind the trees. One fellow is fishing the road bed. Throwing what look like a rattle trap. Bar fish fishing?I'll be back

Which gauge are you referring to? I don't see any reading 28ft on 6/17.
Those forecast are base on no more rain up north, If they get rain all the stages change. Yes you can catch all the bar fish you want when the water is high. Fish all the gravel roads.
