Hey Blake, Flat lake and Lake Martin are good but shallow. You can get away from the river traffic there. A fly rod and popping bug works great for the bream.
I like fishing the boat docks on the diversion canal. Try the no wake portions. The Petite Amite holds some bigger fish. Blind river is another area that you could try. CDC member "choupique" fishes the Blind river area and reports in here. Do a search for his reports.

Blind river is good , Chene Blanc is good and chinquapin is good too , it's all good but hit or miss at times . I prefer to fish the amite River in that area between the weir and where the river splits down past mannys . We've caught some nice fish in all these areas . Mainly off black n chartreuse . It seems we get storms right before or during every weekend here lately so I haven't been going much lately . Getting cabin fever though ! Lol
