    Default Burns Friday afternoon

Well I had to work Friday but I got off at 3 so off to my favorite place - The Big Burns! Figured I would start out where I did so good last Friday. Even with the rain we had received, the water in the trail was even lower but I made it back there without having to push pole this time. Got there and started drift fishing using the red/orange/black jig that I did so well on a week ago and was only able to catch a couple of small goggle eye so I tied on Jlaughlin's blue/white jig and caught a few more small goggle eyes and drop one nice sac right at the boat. After fishing there for about an hour, I decided I wanted to go give the bass a try in the front marsh. Managed to catch a few keepers in one of my hot spots and then decided to start drifting to find some new holes. Well I picked up one here and one there. I saw some open water so I was drifting to it when I saw a smaller body of somewhat open water so pitched to it and FISH ON! Well almost, he broke my line, so I anchored and retied and after that, the bass where hitting like crazy! Every cast! Well finished off my 10 fish limit and even released some bigger than what I had kept. Well here is the only picture I took. MAN I LOVE THIS PLACE!!!

I would say about 1/3rd of them still had eggs. Throw a speed craw in watermelon/red. That is what I caught all of these on. And if you have the galic dip it (chrt.), dip the claws in that.

Dwyane, you'd better look out for those bass - they will have you straying from the path!
    Nice catch!
