Nice catch. Can't give up on your shiners. You might have to give up your screen name.
7:30 to 2........went solo today....fishing with my grandson recently he has had some success on a roadrunner...shiners only produced small sacs today so what do I do....fished with a roadrunner till they bit it in half...switched to a beetle spin and did OK....I don't like those small hooks so I went to Academy and got some with bigger hooks.....it was slow but steady till noon.....kept 12 sacs and one bass....big sac 13".....had lots of shiners left over......the cat at the launch ate good today.....it's getting where he recognizes my truck and runs to me when I pull the boat out.....going back tomorrow.....not taking shiners.....I know, hard for me to believe it also....

What?!! PREFERS SHINERS is going fishing WITHOUT SHINERS?!!! I do love to catch them on the bettle spins though! I did the same thing last time I went out. I ALWAYS bring some cold worms with me for bream and decided not to that time and I could catch them with bettle spins if they were there. Well I did catch a couple of chick a pen with bettle spins in a HUGE bed that I found, can't imagine what I could have caught with cold worms. I WILL HAVE the cold worms with me tomorrow when I try that area out again! Thanks for the pictures and report Bruce, looks like the 2 of you had a great time!
