    Default Bundicks with SneakyPete!

Well we have been trying to get together for over a year now and finally the stars, planets & moon all aligned and I was able to get sneakyPete back to bundicks with me. Johnny and Marty had a head start on us b/c I had the farmers market that morning but we got out there around 1:30PM. Didn't take ole Pete long to settle back in.

And kit didn't take him long to get back on some fish too.

Well I have started trying to tie some of my own jigs as Johnny has been whipping my but out there with his hand tied jigs. Well I finally got one to hit a blue/chrt marabou jig that I had tied (fish in my left hand) and as I was trying to get it together for the picture my other rod decided to take off (fish in right hand)! Well still got a double out there but it was on 2 different rods, at least both of these are keepers!

MoSlab's dog "Buddy" and then Marty

Well I think we had 13 in the box when it was getting close to dark and they had decided to stop biting tubes so I decided to try out a hair jig that Johnny had tied for me. I was fishing on a rod that I had caught out there while fishing with my daughter several years ago. Well that rod had broke and a few months back I was looking at it and also had a tip from one of my BnM rods that was broke so I cut the rod (from Bundicks) and pulled the eyes off of a section on my BnM broke tip and inserted it into the Bundicks rod and taped it all up with electrical tape. I had just told Pete that I didn't know how well it would hold up to a big fish and then WAM! I got a hit! It turned out to be my biggest fish to date 2.4 lbs! Well I guess that rod will hold up!

I got a picture of Marty's catch on my phone that I will try to get on here too. Also got a picture of Johnny that his son Justin had sent me with the caption "My dad done lost his mind!" I think he had 10 poles out, only you that have fished Bundicks will understand that!

Ain't nothing better than catching a big crappie on a jig you tied yourself! Good looking fish. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for the report Dwayne. It's great to see the old, as JR would say, curmudgeon back in action. Glad y'all had a good day and congrats on the big fish. Johnny looks pretty laid back in his picture like he's having a great time.
