    Default Rumor Mill: Darbonne Bite is On


    I've heard from multiple people that live on Darbonne that the spawn is on at Terral Island. Today there were so many boats at the ramp when he was going to work he could barely get down the road.

    I'll be testing it out tomorrow.

    I went yeaterday(Wed)till about noon and managed 3 pretty males. I was in Stowe and thought I would be out of the wind. WNW catches just about everywhere in the lake. I talked to a gent at the launch and he said he didn't do a thing but he and others were doing well on beetle spins covering alot of water from the bank out to 8 fow. This was during the warm stretch a week or so ago. We'll see next week.....

    I would have thought that wind direction had more to do with boats at terral island than fish bitting good, if i would have went today thats where i would have gone.

    There was a bunch of folks around the Terral Island launch but noone was havaing any real luck. One guy got 8 on a cajun cricket in 6" of water but everyone else I talked to had no more than 2 fish...most having less than that.

    fished terral island today fishing was tough but managed to catch 18 very large males,not one was female.the fish i caught were of the bank in 6 to 10 feet of water.

    I'm heading back out there this morning with my 6yo son. Hope he doesn't make too much racket in the boat and annoy other fisherman.

    did best on blue ice bobby garland,but when i found them color did not matter.
