    Default 4-22 Bayou D'Arbonne w/pics

Today was a good day but could have been better. I ended the day with 23 keepers. I probably caught 70 fish today but the rest were real small. I had a buddy that fished circles around me today along with another boat that was there early. (Tough to compete with spider rigs) All were caught in 17 -22 fow about 8 - 13 feet deep. These are a coupe of the larger ones that I caught. I only had 3 that were smaller than this. I caught nothing huge (unlike my buddy) but I had some good fish none the less. Enjoy

I had my best luck on a bluegrass and gumdrop, bot Bobby Garland 2" baby shad. My buddy that was catchin the big ones, was catchin them on everything from a cajun cricket, black and chart tube jig, and a jig that looks like a popcicle except where the popcicle is purple and ping, this one is black and pink.

Those are some very nice fish. Congratulations. I wish I didn't live so far from D'Arbonne Bayou. I used to love to put in at Joe Bobs and go up the bayou and fish the stump line next to the channel this time of year. It should be good there for a while yet.
