    Default Millers Lake 3-6-10

The bite was slow, water temp. still to cold but it may be up by Monday. My 10 yr old and I caught 9 on black/chartreuse/ red head hair jig in 2-3 FOW right off the bottom. I think I will make a Perch Jerker out of him yet he has the patience of a old pro. No one we talked to was catching but one guy said he saw a guy with 2 bass and 9 sacaulait he caught on shinners.

    crappiecatcher06,
Who says Sac-au-lait don't turn colors when they are about to spawn?
Boy those your son is holding look almost jet black !!!!
Congrats on figuring them out and maybe you can get back after them before they finish the spawn.

Thanks, they were some pretty males, but I can't wait to get into those big females they will dwarf the ones we caught. I'm ready for them this year I have a 7 ft spinning rod with some power pro to haul them in. LOL

    Those are some beauties !!

It's been many years since I've been to Miller's. Can you tell me what kinda shape are the landings are in ? Would I have a problem launching a 18' fiberglass at the south or north ?

    Thanks !!

Congrats on the catch Mike, those are some beauties. Glad to see you have a great fishing partner. My son and I team up to catch a few that look just like those yesterday. Thanks for the report and pictures.

Thanks, going back Friday, I'm taking my buddy he just had a heart attack and had two stents put in and a nice day fishing will do him some good. I just hope them big females start moving in because the males are getting the beds ready.
