    Default Shopping Spree

Ok Guys...... Heres the deal. Since I bought my new boat, the wife gave me 1500 bucks to spend on whatever I want for fishing/clothing/whatever. I already bought a Lowerance HDS5 for 700.00. That leaves me 800.00 to spend. I'm going to make a trip to Bass pro later today and I was wondering if you had the 800, what lures, rods, reels, etc..... would you buy? I dont really know what to get lol.. I know that sounds crazy but not really sure of it. Thanks for your input ahead of time!

    John

Default What type & style fishing?

Help us help you and try and think what you want to do with your new boat and gear. By this I mean do you want troll with jigs, crank baits or live bait, or are you planing something else?

I'm actually never trolled before but I really want to get into it. So yeah, some trolling gear would be beneficial. I'll probably try all 3 trolling methods, I honestly usually fish with shiners with a slip cork or something like that. Thanks

BassPro Microlite rods. They are good for casting and drifting as well. I use the ultralight action (7'6") but my dad prefers the medium light action(I think its 8'6"). For an underspin reel Daiwa US 40X is the best one. Shakespeare's will stop picking up the line and so will Zebco. 8lb Spider mono is great line and it doesn't seem to have a whole lot of memory. Hope this helps!
