Default Green River Lake Ice Report

Took a half day off yesterday to fish. Not smart. Ice at Emerald & Smith Ridge 3-6", at least. I was hoping I could at least get on the water. I think that ice is going to be there for a while.

A buddy from work said he say a boat going down lake near ramp 1. He says he didn't see any ice but lake was smooth. I told him it could be ice keeping water calm. I want to fish and have cabin fever like everyone else, but not worth damaging boat or getting hurt over.

I will be glad when this weather breaks. A winter like had last year would be good ever year. Just think all gore said a whole generation wouldn't see snow.

I hear that's why they're calling this the "Winter of Al Gore"

yes, but it is thin and a boat did unload there yesterday. He also broke a narrow trail out that should speed up the thaw

As of 11:30 Holmes bend has thawed as far as you can see both ways. Still froze from white oak to 551 bridge

Has it all melted off to the 551 bridge yet?
