    Default Barkley 4/12/17

Another beautiful day to be out with the exception of all the all the debris from the rising water. Fish seemed a little more cooperative to this old deep water two poler today. Nice concentrations of big girls in the 18-20ft range. Water temps In the 61-64 degree range, I am sure plenty of fish on the bank too if that is your thing.

I couldn't find 'em shallow today with blue bird skies ...

I had to get out in 14ft to find fish this afternoon ...

    Good job Austin ...

All that hard work getting up and putting out structure before daylight is paying off for you ...

You deserve every fish you catch ...

Fished Eddy Creek yesterday, caught 18 keepers, 1-16 1/2 inch. But also caught about 7 under 10 inches I usually only catch 1 or so that I have to throw back that was the most I've had yesterday. 12-14 FOW. The majority of boats were fishing banks, couldn't tell how they were doing.

We fished Barkley yesterday casting the banks and got a two-man limit, we didn't get on the water till 5pm. About half blacks and half whites. The white females are starting to move in, we caught three of them.

Unfortunately Rickie all that stuff is in Kentucky and I don't fish over there much anymore. Did slip over there a couple nasty days last fall before word got out that fishing was getting really good again and fish some of it but maybe somebody gets some use out of it. It was a great learning experience for me though and have learned alot since then I hope. The first test spot on Barkley went out a month or so ago and going to do a few more test spots through the summer.

Those are some nice fish! That's good, I'm always glad to people catching fish, I bet he takes more minnows next time.

Yeah that was me, I wasn't 100 percent sure that was you I was kind of looking back into the sun, not used to seeing you use that ramp either. I was done at that point just playing around seeing if there was many fish back on that flat. I don't do the bank thing at all, guess I should but not really worth the effort to me for a couple weeks a year.
