    Default Northern KY creeks?

Anyone fish Gunpowder or Big Bone recently? Water temps or any fish? I have been going to East Fork and catching some keepers, but really want to get some of those 12" river fish, but the creeks are a little longer drive.

Not yet. I haven't fished them since early January. Either the river was too high or my boat was in the shop (for much longer than anticipated).

I may try to hit Big Bone on Thursday afternoon. Water will be a few feet high but I'm anxious to go. I'll post results if I do.

Are you catching decent size fish at EF? I am not sure if I will fish it this year. I agree - the chances of 12"+ fish are much higher in the river creeks

I went to Big Bone Creek today... Tough fishing. Water was very muddy and 4 feet higher than normal. Not to mention lots of wind. Caught maybe 10 crappie and a couple bass but nothing too impressive.

    Fish were mostly shallow.

Oh... And my electronics weren't working so no idea on water temps. Fish were hitting it pretty good when they could find it so I'd say next few weeks should be good fishing.

It was 54 degrees up here last Saturday & muddy. After last nights rain it will definitely get worse.
