wow !! great job
Undecided if I will bring a boat or not due to weather forecast. Anyone been catching any Bluegill or Redear? Not asking for for anything more than do you think we can catch anything worthwhile from shore? If I do drag the boat down any suggestions on how to get the kids on some fish? One will still be using a little 3' Spiderman pole and the other might be big enough for a Zebco 33 5ft'er. Buy minnows and go for Crappie under a slip bobber or go after Bluegill with worms?
Just trying to get the kids onto some fish. 12 year old daughter says she wants to join the fishing club in high school and I want to encourage her to fish.
Bragging a little she is getting pretty good at archery. Bare bone, no sights NASP team at school 10 meters her first perfect 50 point round!
Take care guys

There are probably some crappie around the back side of the little harbor and also around the docks. Cork and minnows will help. I am working so I can't help you out much that weekend. Great job on the archery. She looks proud of that perfect score. That is hard to do for anyone let alone a 12 year old. A boat would really help but with kids it gets boring for them fast. I ran from playground to playground the other day while fishin with the grandkids but did manage a few crappie in between. No gills anywhere that I have seen.

Fish the empty boat slips for bluegills. I had a good time yesterday catching them. They were small but still fun to catch. I used waxworms on a small microspoon under a small bobber no weight. If the bobber even twitches, set the hook. Kids will have a good time. Keep your hemostats handy as you'll have to dig a lot of hooks out.
Thanks guy for the compliments on my daughter's skills. Also thanks for the info on fishing conditions. Weather does not look to be helping. Might still take the boat for a shakedown run.
