    Default Blood river area?

Last year we went to Johnathon creek,This year we are thinking of Blood River and staying at Kentucky Beach Resort. Was thinking about 1st. week of April. Is this a decent choice or should we go south around Paris? Is early April a good time to go. We mainly like to spider rig. Im open to all suggestions. I need to make reservations somewhere soon,as I know it books up quick. Might already be too late. Any help will be appreciated.

Wilbur ... I definitely think you should go to the Paris area and stay out of Blood River! Only kidding! We had a good first week of April last year, and you should do fine. Can't report on Kentucky Beach one way or the other. I do know where it is. Good Luck!

Kentucky Beach Resort is a GREAT place to stay. The wife and I have been staying there for the last 5 yrs when we fish BR. Just shoot out of the cove hang a right and your in the mouth of BR. They have a great fish cleaning station and limited live bait. Only bad point is they are along way from nay good source of bait and food LOL. The owners will bend over backwards to make toy happy, very nice people.

    Good luck...

Wilbur i have said at ky beach several times and it is accomodating but not 5 star if you know what i mean. Warm beed hot shower and a few drunks...sounds like most fishing camps. The last time i fished blood river we stayed in murray at a hotel and used the restaurant so we didnt have to cook. Drive to ramp was only 15 min and we launched out of waters edge rv and marina. Ky beach has a kitchen and slip rental but by the time you spend cooking and cleaning i can launch my boat and beat most of you the the honey hole....lol!

    Good luck
