    Default Kayak longlining

Hey guys, there have been questions about longlining from a kayak and I know a few here also likes to longline. I love to fish this way using a 8' and 5-6'' on each side of the kayak pulling with 6# line and 1/16oz hand tied hair and hackle tail jigs. Thought y'all would enjoy seeing these caught while longlining this past weekend.

SORRY FOR THE SIDEWAYS PICTURE, HAVE A LOT OF THEM TO LOAD THIS WAY.

    Ronnie

Nice! so, just to be clear - you're trolling with 4 rods? a short and a long on each side?
Here in IL - we're only allowed to fish 2 lines (with two hooks max) per pole, unless you're trolling, and then you can fish three rods (unless the lake you're on has a site specific regulation)

But you can't argue with the result. Looks great to me!

Here in SC there is no limit to the rods you can use while in a boat. On shore you can only use 4 rods. Hooks are not limited on a rod neither but I use one pre line.

Nice job! How far out back do you pull the jigs and how deep of water do you do this in? How fast do you paddle? I spider rig some but have not ever long lined. I may want to give it a try some time.
