no flags on my kayaks
I guess I'll start a new thread to see how others have their flags mounted to their yaks.
This is for the 6 foot 1/4" stick flags.
Since I fish some big lakes with a lot of boat traffic I always have my flag on the kayak. Setting low on the water I have been told by other boaters that they seen the flag first, not the kayak first so I know they can make a difference. I have a small tube attached to my milk-crate that the flag pole slides into. You can see it in this picture.

no flags on mine either but it's red, so it does not blend in with the surroundings.
GO BIG ORANGE !
I meant to behave, but there were just way too many other options available at the time.
My 2 are tan so they will blend in a bit. I have the 2 rod transport holders behind the seat. I cut some noodle to fill in the hole some so the flag stick doesn't rattle about.
Red here too.............and I try to stay off the larger lakes and frequent the smaller waters where large, fast bass rigs are not allowed.

Don't have many places here like that. If you think your boat will go in there, go for it.
I'm on the larger lakes but stay in the coves and such, common sense would tell a boater to go slow(er) but we all know some individuals don't listen to those voices of reason. Never had a problem so far, but I know its a possibility. I wear a pfd 100% when in the yak.

The 3 pfd that I have in my size are tan, green and camo. Guess I could watch for a bright color during the summer clearance that some of these stores have.
Being under 16 foot long I'll wear it all the time so the poky won't have a reason to storm my location.
This is what I use and meets USCG 360 light requirement as well... Danny
