    Default Hd-6/26

Fished from 7am til 3pm with minnows on a K-rig...brush piles and timber in 19-21fow - 15 ft down, ended up with 18 keepers.....one measured 15.25in. the rest were typical HD "spearpoints". Actually caught two males still in their spawning colors.....go figure. It was nice to finally to catch enough to clean..I was beginning to think I'd forgotten how to use a fillet knife. Today the wind was a welcome relief and the heat wasn't really a factor. I only fished the littlebull side of the lake but I did try the bigbull deep water last week ( thanks Lowede) and only caught dinks.....but I'll check it out again. Looks like the water might be boiling after the temps predicted for the next 5 days....nightfishing anyone??
FAITH, FAMILY, FRIENDS & FISHING...... hopefully in that order but honestly, not always!

Good job Doug. That sure is a lot better than my last several trips to Hillsdale. Have family in town for the kids birthdays this weekend. Thinking about taking my Dad down to Melvern on Monday and hit some piles. He has never fished Melvern.

Way to go! I haven't seen a 15.5" at Hillsdale this year. I still found some deep this week but had to try a lot more trees before I hit a good one. They were a little more off the bottom this time and did catch a few on a slow retrieve.

Glad you found some, keep after them, some days they just do not like to bite, you found a day they were cooperative. I have lights, give me a call if your interested.
